Welcome to the Kernersville Family YMCA

The Kernersville Family YMCA serves the entire family through youth development programs, healthy living, and social responsibility initiatives, such as the Bright Beginnings program to provide a special back-to-school shopping experience for local students. Explore your aquatic interest with swim lessons, have fun at day camp or on a youth sports team, or reach your wellness goals with group exercise classes.

We're Hiring!

We have full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions available in multiple departments in branches across the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina.

YMCA Bright Beginnings

Remember your first day of school? You likely had a new backpack, pencils, clean shoes, and outfits you picked out yourself. For many families, however, the start of the school year brings stress and uncertainty—not celebration. That’s where the YMCA Bright Beginnings program makes a difference.

Each year, we support local 150 students, providing essential clothing, new shoes, and school supplies they may not otherwise receive. But we can’t do it without YOU—and amazing community partners like Brightspeed.

Did You Know We Have a Chaplaincy Program?

The Chaplaincy Program is one of the many ways the Y intentionally lives out our mission. Our Chaplains demonstrate the love of Jesus by serving, supporting, and caring for the staff, members, and guests of the YMCA—whether through faith-based programming or simply offering a listening ear and an encouraging word.

Support the Y

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. You can help kids learn, grow and thrive, as well as ensure no one is ever turned away due to the inability to pay. Donations provide financial assistance to make Y programs available to everyone in our community.

Every gift makes a difference. Everyone has a role to play. Together, we can do so much more.
