When our families and neighbors thrive, our community is stronger. Right now, the need for stronger communities is greater than ever. When a neighbor needs support, the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina stands ready to help with open arms and caring hearts. With your support, we can ensure the organization’s sustainability and changing lives - while not forgetting people, connections, and hope are what matters most in our world today.

Teen Referral Memberships

In a world full of isolation and unrest, it is more important than ever that we keep our young people engaged in positive experiences in healthy, safe environments. Our new initiative offers eligible young people ages 12-18 years old in our communities a FREE membership to access the Y’s fitness facilities, basketball courts, swimming pools, and so much more.

Membership Means More at the Y

All YMCA of Northwest North Carolina members have access to all of our locations and programs. With membership at one branch, you can enjoy full access and amenities at each of our 13 locations.

State-of-the-art fitness equipment

Members have access to quality equipment to help them meet their wellness needs — from cardio training to strength and conditioning, and everything in between.

Pools and exercise facilities

We have 14 branches across a seven county area, with multiple pools (indoor and outdoor!), basketball, racquetball and pickleball courts, training centers, saunas, and much more!

Free group exercise classes

Members get free access to hundreds of group exercise classes including Hot Yoga, numerous Les Mills classes like Body Pump and Body Balance, classes geared towards our Active Older Adults, water fitness classes, and more. Plus, our Virtual Y classes - online classes you can take in the comfort of your home!

Free childcare for members

Members with household memberships can bring their kids to our free Kids Zone (formerly called Child Watch) where we supervise children while parents are at the Y. Kids will play, learn and make friends!

How Can You Help?

The YMCA has a mission of helping all people reach their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body. We also strive to turn no one away due to an inability to pay a program or membership fee. Our goal is to serve as many people in the community as possible that can benefit from our services. We can’t do that without your help.
