YMCA REACH Center is Under Construction
The newly renovated YMCA REACH Center at Winston Lake will reopen in the first half of 2025! The YMCA REACH Center will be a multi-service provider destination and includes a 55,000 square foot renovation that will introduce new amenities including a lobby expansion to become the community “family room”, multipurpose classrooms that will serve as a host for various courses, workshops and trainings, renovated childcare facilities, updated locker room, new wellness center with state-of the art equipment and group exercise room and a Novant Health clinic providing on-site medical services.

Teen Referral Memberships
In a world full of isolation and unrest, it is more important than ever that we keep our young people engaged in positive experiences in healthy, safe environments. Our new initiative offers eligible young people ages 12-18 years old in our communities a FREE membership to access the Y’s fitness facilities, basketball courts, swimming pools, and so much more.

What’s happening at the Y?
William G. White, Jr. YMCA and Daggett Shuler, Attorneys at Law, Launch Safe Sober Teen Center to Support Winston-Salem Teens
The William G. White, Jr. branch of the YMCA of NWNC is thrilled to announce a ten-year partnership with Daggett Shuler, Attorneys at Law, to create the Safe Sober Teen Center. This initiative establishes a unique space within the YMCA that provides critical after-school support for Winston-Salem teens. Currently serving over 125 students, the Safe Sober Teen Center offers middle and high school students a safe, nurturing environment where they can focus on academics, participate in enrichment programs, and enhance their mental and physical well-being.
